What's the game?

Cloudflare's 2021 demo: Chocolate Doom, the community port that sticks closest to the DOS original, compiled to WebAssembly, with its network code rewritten to run over WebSockets on Cloudflare Workers. PLAY SOLO starts the shareware episode, Knee-Deep in the Dead (press Enter through the menus to reach E1M1). START MULTIPLAYER, per Cloudflare's write-up, gives you a game link to share with up to three friends; whoever starts the game hosts it.

What to expect

Unofficial: Doom belongs to id Software; the shareware episode was released for free distribution, and Chocolate Doom and Cloudflare's port are open source (GPL). About 7.5 MB, no ads, no account. We played solo into E1M1; we did not test multiplayer (it opens on a name box). No AI build claim.

Controls: From the on-screen help: move with the mouse, WASD or the arrow keys, Shift run, E use, A/D strafe (or hold C), Tab map, T say, F fullscreen. Space fires (the game's key file).
