A pigeon game made by someone who actually keeps pigeons: breeding is a dice puzzle, every mail flight is a gamble you can read before you take it, and a cold nest stays on a bird's record for life.

What's the game?
Pigeon Pals starts on a rooftop at dawn with an empty loft, $18 and two birds, Rocky and Fawkes. Mara, a keeper from the roof next door, comes in through the front door and teaches the loft in 13 lessons: tap a bird or anything else to look at it, tap a person to walk over and again to talk, and clean up after the flock, because scattered feathers make illness more likely the longer they lie. Every racing pigeon is a die. The teal faces are the ones you train; the amber faces, Compass, Wing and Heart, are inherited from its parents, and a nest left to go cold lowers them for life. Races are rolled round by round on those dice, from the club ladder to the Homecoming Cup, which only a bird hatched on your own roof may enter, and street races on the corner where you wager your in-game cash. The maker says mail flights show you the odds of losing a bird before you let it go. Five modes from the title screen: Traditional (the guided start), Rough Economy (every mail fee and race purse halved), Olympian (stronger rivals), Danger Zone (mail flights more than twice as deadly) and Hardcore (all three at once).

What to expect
Free, no account, no download and no ads; the page loads its own files, an anonymous play counter that stays off when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, and a feedback form. It is an open beta from a solo maker in Brooklyn who says it is based on the six pigeons in the maker's own backyard loft. The maker's Bluesky profile labels the beta 18+ and says birds can get sick or die; the game itself has no age check. The street races take wagers in the game's own money only. The maker says the first day with Mara takes about 15 minutes and the game saves at the first night; saves stay in your browser. There is also a Windows download on itch.io, which we did not try. We found no claim about how it was made.
Controls: Tap or click: a bird or object to look at it, a person to walk over and again to talk, and the buttons in each panel (Sweep patch, Inspect and so on). Pause and the speed button sit at the top of the screen.
