What's the game?
Lost City, also known as 2004Scape, is a preservation project: a server and client rewritten from scratch over years of research so that RuneScape as it existed on November 24, 2004 can be played again. It is free, the source is public, and the project describes itself as community-run, with membership features kept for historical accuracy rather than money.

What to expect
Read their disclaimer first: in their words, the project has not been endorsed by, authorized by, or officially communicated with Jagex, and you cannot play Old School RuneScape or buy gold here.
