ADVENTURE / SINGLE PLAYER
Pitfall!
Swing over crocodiles, dodge rolling logs and collect jungle treasures in a tiny browser rebuild of the Atari classic.
OUR TAKE / EDITORIAL
Why it's on the wall
A quick retro detour with almost no loading. Easy mode's route arrows take the guesswork out of the jungle's branching paths.
Written by Neon Gamewall. An opinion, not a player rating.
GAME BRIEF
What's the game?
Pitfall Harry has 32 treasures to find before time runs out. This TypeScript reconstruction preserves the original jungle map, pixel art and sounds while adding smooth scrolling, midair control and three difficulty modes. Easy mode supplies route arrows and extra lives.
BEFORE YOU PLAY
What to expect
Click Play, choose a difficulty and press Start. Under 1 MB loaded through our first playable scene. No sign-up, installer or game-file upload. Easy is the most welcoming first run; Hard is closer to the original. Unofficial: David Crane created Pitfall! and Activision published it in 1982. This is meatfighter's browser reconstruction, not an Atari emulator.
Controls: Arrows or WASD run and climb; another key jumps. Gamepad and touch input are also supported by the creator's control guide.
